Infractions

Learn how to track and manage infractions in your server.

What are Infractions?

Infractions are the way you can keep track of what is happening without having to remember every single mod action that has occurred on your server. Think of it like a large notepad of what is going on in your server.

An infraction is a number that is assigned to every single mod action that occurs. For example, if a user is banned, the bot will assign an infraction number to that action. This number helps you track and reference past moderation actions.

Note: The infraction number increments globally across all actions in your server.

How to View Infractions?

There are several ways to search infractions in your server:

/userinfo [User]

The user info command will show the total amount of infractions a user has. This is a quick way to see at a glance how many moderation actions a user has received.

/infraction search [User] [Page]

The best way to get a list of all infractions a user has. Bulbbot will display a maximum of 25 infractions per page. Use the page parameter to view more.

/infraction modsearch [Moderator]

View what infractions a specific moderator has actioned. This helps track which moderator performed which actions.

/infraction offendersearch [User]

Search the infractions of a given user. Similar to the search command but with slightly different functionality.

Managing Infractions

/infraction delete [ID]

Delete an infraction from a user's record. Use this when an infraction was made by mistake.

/infraction claim [ID]

Change the moderator to yourself on an infraction. Use this to take responsibility for an action.

/infraction update [ID] [Reason]

Update the reasoning for an infraction. Use this to add more details or correct information.

/infraction info [ID]
